Water Filtration Systems for Swimming Pools
Diatomaceous Earth Filtration
Culligan Hydro-Cleer filters use diatomaceous earth (D.E) filtration to provide best in class swimming pool filtration down to levels of 1 micron. Diatomaceous earth is a white powder, which comes from the silica cell walls of microscopic algae. The Hydro-cleer units utilise the Culligan exclusive “self-cleaning elements” technology that helps you reduce water usage and save costs.
Multimedia Filtration
The Culligan multilayer filtration technology uses three different layers of mineral filter. Each layer has different particle sizes and different specific weights , arranged with decreasing grain size from top to bottom. This allows for the entire filter media to be used for filtration. This multi-layer filtration technology provides greater levels of filtration , longer filtration cycles and lower backwash water consumption compared to conventional sand filters.
Cartridge filters
As well as the diatomaceous and multilayer filters, Culligan also offer a range of simple and economical cartridge filters – the Filter Gard range. These cartridge filters have a threaded cover and 1½ inch connections. The Filter Gard range of simple to use filters are perfectly suited to smaller swimming pools or decorative fountains.

Swimming Pool Filtration Pumps
Thermoplastic pump
Available in various types and sizes, with or without pre-filters, our pumps are suitable for a wide range of systems, from small swimming pools at home to public swimming pools, both in the three-phase and single-phase version.
The thermoplastic pump is not prone to corrosion and is suitable for use in seawater swimming pools.
Large Pool Pumps
Made completely from thermoplastic material, complete with pre-filter or without it. This pump is available in various connections and flow requirements, and can be installed in large public swimming pools or bathing systems.

Disinfection & UV Systems

Culligan utilise a wide range of disinfection technologies including salt electrolysis, chlorine and bromine tablet dosage, as well as automatic sodium hypochlorite dosage systems, which are the most common type of disinfection system and are the systems normally used in public swimming pools.
Ozone disinfection systems. are also available. Although a relatively new technology, ozone is gaining popularity due to its efficiency and lack of chemical chlorine smell.
